So I just got a new little point-and-shoot camera to replace my G9. Over all it really doesn’t blow my mind because the sensor is so small.
But that little thing has improved quite a bit:

  • better range
  • better color
  • better contrast
  • better tone
  • super small
  • I love the new front ring (Mine is set to make quick ISO settings)
  • back ring is just how it should be (I use mine for +- expose settings)
  • It’s small but still shoot in raw
  • Usable ISO (shoot it up to 1000 ISO and have it look good)
  • 2.0 lens (It’s only OK at 2.0, but good at 4.0ish)

Here are some sample pictures from the Canon S90

Its a good little camera. But the small files are still hard to look at compared to my 5d Mark II files. But at least it is small and sometimes I just don’t need files that big.

I think this is how seniors should be done. Get your crew and lets go take a bunch of photos together.

We had a blast photographing Karlee and her crew in Salt Lake. They are a rad group of girls and I really had fun photographing them.

I’ll post more soon. There are a bunch of pics to edit through.

Also keep your eyes open, I have photographed a bunch of decorating and climbing lately that I will be posting soon! I have way too much to edit through right know. I really need to catch up!

To see the edit of the shoot, go to my main site, under clients put in Karlee for the password and you set!

You call also order prints from there if you would like!

Just did Caden and Mandy’s wedding. I thought I would throw a few of my favorites up. This my brothers and I didn’t do all the photos. I was kind of fun just to take a few of whatever I wanted.

They got married in at the Logan Utah Temple in the morning, then we all drove to Bountiful (near Salt Lake City) for their reception. The reception center was pretty cool. As you can see it had chandeliers and mirrors and was one classy joint.

Their main photographer was this cute lady named Kara Elemore, she really did do a good job! Some times it is a little painful watch other people photograph, but not the case with Kara. She was a real pro.

Tree with Diana

This little tree was shot on one of the beaches in the south of Costa Rica area. It was shot with the 35mm Superwide Diana film camera. The light leeks could not have been more perfect!

So this morning I was experimenting with natural light in my house and this sweet Canon 85mm F1.2. Light is totally different when you shoot at F1.2. I did own the 50mm F1.8 and thought it was a piece of crap. So I have been mostly shooting 2.8 lenses for a while now and I think I’m ready to get a pile of fixed fast lenses.

These are shots of my wife. She is 17 weeks Pregnant. I thought the softness of the F1.2 was really nice and fit the subject matter perfectly.
