I just finished Marren and Dirks wedding and thought I would put a few up to sneak peek a few of my favorites.

The wedding was super fun, there was a ton of dancing and the food was great!

I really loved the lighting that they had, and it was pretty challenging to capture the lighting. But I was a beautiful night.

I’ll post more from the rest of the wedding when I get a minute.

I just finished a photo shoot for a company who specializes in parties for kids. This is for all of you working moms out there, who want to have a big party for your kids but don’t have time to do all the work yourself, consider One Charming Party. Brittany has some serious skills when it comes to having parties. She’ll do all the work, Vegan cupcakes (amazing), pick up your party favors, make your decorations, hire you a top-notch photographer :) , everything!

She’s been doing it her whole life and she knows what kids love!

Check out some pics from the other nights events.

So I haven’t posted a ton lately, I’ve been way to swamped to do it. But I took yesterday off and used the new Canon 100mm 2.8L and thought I would try it out on my kid-O Millie. When you are close and she is moving, it is hard to get focus for sure! She is a doll though.

So I just got a new little point-and-shoot camera to replace my G9. Over all it really doesn’t blow my mind because the sensor is so small.
But that little thing has improved quite a bit:

  • better range
  • better color
  • better contrast
  • better tone
  • super small
  • I love the new front ring (Mine is set to make quick ISO settings)
  • back ring is just how it should be (I use mine for +- expose settings)
  • It’s small but still shoot in raw
  • Usable ISO (shoot it up to 1000 ISO and have it look good)
  • 2.0 lens (It’s only OK at 2.0, but good at 4.0ish)

Here are some sample pictures from the Canon S90

Its a good little camera. But the small files are still hard to look at compared to my 5d Mark II files. But at least it is small and sometimes I just don’t need files that big.

It is already a crazy fall. I have been doing several shoots every day. So I’ll try to put a lot up in the next few weeks.

The girls didn’t want to pose or have there photographer taken with there parents. But  they were quite happy playing/tasting rocks by themselves. Kids will be kids.

I know the color is quite a bit different between these. But they are just for the blog.

Judging by this photo, Sienna is going to be a little painter I think.

These are just a sneak peak because there are a ton of photos from this shoot to post up. But I’m currently swamped with work so this is just a sneak peak. These where defiantly fun family photographs. Here kids where really funny and totally full of energy. This family is totally great!

It is fun to see how different all families are and work together. I have  been thinking that this is why it doesn’t make sense to do any two families the same.

The good news, is we can know shoot the plastic Diana lens on our digital cameras! I love the plastic cameras and am super excited.  I think you can buy the whole collection of Diana lenses for around $150. You really can’t say that for any other line of lenses.

I love the softness and glow to these. I think I’m going to play around with this more this weekend with Alisa! We have the 20mm fisheye, 38mm shown below, and the 50mm macro. I should have ordered a 100mm so I could complete the collection but then I would have nothing left to ask for for Christmas. By the way if you know a photographer and want to give them an amazing present. Go ahead and get them any of the lomography cameras, or anything in general.

We did all of these in studio, shot with one beauty dish.
