More from Down Under

Here are the rest of the photos from the first part of this trip. I’ll be running around a bit more so I’m sure I’ll upload some later.

So all the mountain and climbing photos are from the Blue Mountains in Australia.

This area is amazing! The cliff bands go forever and ever and have a huge variety in features, steepness and grade.

In the post before this one there are some photos of an amazing 600′ 11-. Amazing!! It was overhanging most of the route and covered by some of the most amazing holds I’ve ever climbed on!

The area with all the tree’s was really impressive! I was feeling totally jet lagged that day so I didn’t do a ton, just a handfull of easier routes. It as one a cliff band that went on and on. There had to be over 200 routes. All slightly over hanging and most of them had giant roofs on the top of the climbs.

They forrest around it was just as amazing! Thick and covered in Eucalyptus trees releasing blue vapors. I’m pretty sure you can taste it in the air.

I’ll be traveling a few more days and then its off to an event to photograph and shoot video!

Thanks for checking in!

Australia Trip Part I

I’m in Australia for a few weeks traveling and working (photography and video). My feet are killing from walking all over Sydney so I thought I would take a minute to dump some photos on here. These are from the Blue Mountains in Australia.

I love this rock! It has the coolest features I’ve ever climbed on!

Regional Climbing Comp

So I just photographed Momentum Climbing gym’s Regional climbing comp here in Salt Lake City Utah. It was pretty impressive! These kids can crank!! Browse though and get inspired to train harder!

Great job Momentum peeps!!

Recent Video Shoots

Here is a clip from a bunch of recent videos that I have done. I’ve had a few people ask to see more of my video work, so this should sum up a few things that I’ve done.

Casey Hyer 2011 Video Demo from Casey Hyer on Vimeo.

Here is a little demo I just threw together to show some of the video projects I’ve been working on this year.

They are just clips from a bunch of different projects that I’ve loved.

The last clip of my daughter is probably the hardest footage i’ve ever shot. She’s pretty hard to keep up with.

All videos are shot with Canon 5d, 7d and Nikon 1j.

Shoulders rigs, Flycam and fluid monopods are my main stabilizers.

All of these where done in Utah.

White Lines, Little Cottonwood

Here is my second day of being on this route. The line is super steep, exposed and hard. But one of the coolest lines I’ve been on in Little Cottonwood!

Momentum Climbing Gym USA Comp

So I’ve been working with Momentum climbing gym for the few months a several projects. I’ve shot quite a bit of video for them for commercials and other things and this past weekend I shot their youth USA climbing competition.

These kids are amazing! They weigh nothing and have fingers of steel. They are all really good kids to.

If you use these photos anywhere for yourself, please put a link and photo credit back to my site.

Here are a few photos from the weekend if you want to see all of them for any reason, I put a web gallary up. www.caseyhyer.com/MomentumUSA/
